Policy
Terms of Service
These terms govern bookings and use of the NextStep Mentorship website. By booking a session, you agree to them.
The service
NextStep Mentorship provides mentorship and educational guidance for teens and young adults — listening, practical advice, goal setting, and follow-up. It is not therapy, medical treatment, psychological or counselling services, crisis intervention, legal advice, or financial advice, and it is not a substitute for any of them.
Who can book
Adults may book sessions for themselves. For participants under 18, a parent or legal guardian must create the booking, provide consent, and be the account holder. Booking as a parent or guardian confirms you have the authority to consent on the young person's behalf.
Bookings & payments
Sessions are booked through our online calendar and paid in advance. Prices are in Canadian dollars and shown before you pay. A booking is confirmed once payment is completed.
Cancellations
Rescheduling, cancellation, and refund terms are set out in our Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Conduct
Sessions follow our Code of Conduct. We may decline or end a session, or refuse future bookings, where behaviour is unsafe, abusive, or outside the scope of mentorship.
No guaranteed outcomes
Mentorship is a conversation and a planning process. We do not guarantee any particular result, grade, decision, or life outcome.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, NextStep Mentorship is not liable for decisions made or actions taken based on a session. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Canadian law.
