Policy
Code of Conduct
The standards the mentor follows in every interaction — in writing, so families know exactly what to expect.
Communication
All communication happens through approved business channels: the booking system, session video platform, and the account holder's email. The mentor never shares a personal phone number and never connects with minors through private messages or personal social media accounts.
Boundaries
Every interaction is professional, respectful, and focused on mentorship. There are no gifts, no private in-person meetings, no off-platform contact, and no relationships with participants outside the mentoring context.
Sessions with minors
Sessions with participants under 18 take place on an established video platform, booked and paid for by a parent or guardian. A parent or guardian may sit in on any session at any time, and session summaries are shared with the account holder.
Confidentiality & its limits
What a young person shares is treated with respect and discretion. Confidentiality is not absolute: if the mentor believes someone is at risk of harm, or where the law requires it, information may be shared with a parent or guardian or the appropriate authorities. This limit is explained to participants up front.
Scope of practice
The mentor is an experienced professional and parent — not a therapist, psychologist, doctor, social worker, or licensed counsellor. He does not provide therapy, diagnosis, or treatment, and will suggest qualified professionals whenever a situation calls for them.
Respect
Participants are expected to treat sessions respectfully too. Abusive, unsafe, or inappropriate behaviour may end a session and future bookings.
