Life coaching for young adults
A Life Coach for the Years Nobody Prepares You For.
Eighteen to twenty-five is when the big decisions start arriving — work, money, direction, independence — and when the built-in guidance of school and home suddenly stops. This page explains what one-on-one coaching for young adults looks like here, what it costs, and what it isn't.
Why people book
What Brings Young Adults to a Session.
No crisis required. Most sessions start with one of these.
"I have no idea what I'm doing"
The most common sentence in these sessions, said by people with degrees, jobs, and apartments. Not knowing is normal — the difference is whether you have somewhere to think it through.
The first real job
Interviews, salary questions, a manager you don't understand, feedback that stings. The unwritten rules of work are learnable — but someone has to actually explain them.
Career direction after school
The degree is done (or dropped) and the question 'now what?' is louder than ever. A structured conversation about what fits beats another month of scrolling job boards.
Money, for the first time
Rent, savings, debt, whether a purchase is smart or just tempting. Nobody graded you on this, but everyone expects you to know it.
A business idea
You want to start something. A mentor who has run businesses can tell you what a first sale teaches, how to test an idea cheaply, and which mistakes cost real money.
Just feeling stuck
Nothing is technically wrong, but nothing is moving either. Sometimes one honest conversation with a neutral adult is what gets things unstuck.
What a session includes
- A private, scheduled video call — just you and your mentor
- You set the topic: work, money, direction, a decision, or all of it at once
- Practical perspective from a sales executive and entrepreneur who has hired, sold, and built businesses
- One clear next step you agree to before the call ends
- A follow-up option, so someone actually checks whether the plan happened
What it isn't
- Therapy or counselling — for anxiety, depression, or anything clinical, start with a doctor or licensed professional
- A course, a program, or a curriculum — there are no modules to complete
- A subscription or contract — every session is booked one at a time
- Someone telling you how to live — the mentor's job is to listen, ask good questions, and help you think
Why it matters
Why These Years Are Worth the Conversation.
Coaching works best as early support — before a small question becomes an expensive mistake.
The decisions compound
First job, first apartment, first real money choices — decisions made between 18 and 25 echo for years. A conversation before the decision is cheaper than fixing one after.
The advice dries up
School came with counsellors and structure. Adulthood comes with neither. Most young adults go from too much guidance to none, overnight.
Parents are still parents
Even great parents carry history, expectations, and worry into the conversation. A neutral adult with no stake in your choice is a different kind of sounding board.
It's practice for everything after
Explaining your situation clearly, asking for what you need, hearing pushback without shutting down — these get used in every interview, negotiation, and relationship that follows.

You Don't Need to Have Everything Figured Out.
Sometimes the first step isn't finding the answer. It's finding someone willing to listen.
